Queen Mary of Denmark has arrived in Australia for a state visit, focusing on sustainability, green transition and conservation.

I for one, am super excited for this visit - Denmark is at the forefront of sustainable buildings and design and we can learn so much from their success.

I have been stalking their every move and thought I would put together a mood board, inspired by Queen Mary's State dinner couture.

Interiors Moodboard inspired by Queen Mary’s Couture.

Above and below, is an elegant & timeless interiors mood board. Evoking a feeling of calm and warmth, a less is more approach rings true to Danish design ethos.
Natural materials intertwine, such as Vancouver Quartzite stone; European Oak timber; cork; grasscloth wallpaper; burnished brass and layers of linen and textural materials.

I love that Mary has worn this dress several times since 2010, with a subtle gold lace alteration to it for this visit - she lives and breathes sustainable design in fashion and interiors.
